Who makes Husqvarna construction equipment?
Husqvarna Group was founded in the Swedish town of Huskvarna in 1689 and has its head office in Stockholm. It has three divisions: Husqvarna Forest & Garden, Gardena and Husqvarna Construction. The construction division is based in Jonsered, Sweden, sells its equipment under the Husqvarna name, and had net sales of about SEK 7.2 billion in 2025, 15% of the group.
Husqvarna made its first power cutter in 1968. Its construction business doubled in size in 2002, when it bought Diamant Boart, and it launched its first remote-controlled demolition robot in 2009. It has since added Atlas Copco’s light compaction and concrete equipment business, including plate compactors, tandem rollers and concrete vibrators. In the UK the range is imported by Husqvarna UK Ltd and sold through dealers.
What does Husqvarna Construction make?

Husqvarna K 770 power cutter
The K 770 is Husqvarna’s all-round petrol power cutter, used for kerbs, blocks and paving, cast concrete, floors and walls, cutting asphalt in roadworks and cutting slots to bury cables. On the KV 7 trolley it cuts straight or curved lines in asphalt and close to a kerb. Husqvarna updated it in spring 2026: its manual calls the new version the K 770 II, with 3.9 kW in place of 3.7 kW and, Husqvarna says, 25% lower hydrocarbon emissions with no rise in fuel use.

Variants: the SmartGuard has a blade guard that covers more of the blade, the OilGuard drops the engine to 3,800 rpm if the fuel mix is wrong, the Dry Cut is designed for dry cutting, and the Rescue is for the emergency services. Husqvarna says never to use toothed or carbide-tipped blades on it, and never to use bonded abrasive blades with water.

Husqvarna FS 400 LV floor saw
The FS 400 LV is a petrol push floor saw for small road repairs in concrete or asphalt, with a foldable handle, a large integrated water tank and a depth indicator. The current UK models have a Honda GX390 engine (8.7 kW, 11.7 hp) and take a 450 mm blade (162 mm deep, 104 kg) or a 500 mm blade (187 mm deep, 107 kg). The fuel tank holds 6.1 litres.
Husqvarna LF 50 forward plate
The LF 50 is a lightweight forward plate compactor for thin to medium layers of granular soil: driveways, paths, car parks and, with the optional kits, block paving and asphalt. It has a 320 mm plate and 8.4 kN of centrifugal force. The current LF 50 L has a Honda GX160 engine; Husqvarna’s 2022 manual gives a Honda GXR 120 for machines from that time, so check your engine when ordering. The letters after the model name are Husqvarna’s: L means the low-vibration handle is fitted, A an asphalt water tank and T transport wheels.
How do I find my Husqvarna serial number?
On the K 770, the type plate is low down on the blade side, next to the rear belt guard and belt tensioner. Row 2 carries the serial number, which starts with the year and week the machine was made. The FS 400 LV has its rating plate at the rear, showing the type, article number, serial number, weight and month of manufacture, and the LF 50’s type plate gives the product number, serial number and production year. Send us the model and serial number with your parts enquiry.
Servicing Husqvarna cutters, saws and plates
- K 770: each day, clean the machine and the air intake, check the water system and the safety functions. Each week, check the drive belt, muffler, anti-vibration system and starter. Each month, clean the spark plug and fuel tank and check the air filter and clutch, and replace the fuel filter at least once a year. Re-tension a new drive belt after one or two tanks of fuel, and never clean the air filter with compressed air.
- FS 400 LV: each day, clean the air filter and sediment cup, check the engine oil and drive belt tension, grease the blade shaft and depth adjustment, and clear the water holes in the blade guard. Service the engine to the Honda manual.
- LF 50: change the engine oil after the first 20 hours. Every 100 hours, check the V-belt and the anti-vibration mounts, clean the air filter and change the oil. Every 300 hours, replace the air filter and change the oil.
