Mecalac appointed SM Plant as a dealer for its site dumpers across the Midlands in November 2018, covering sales, service agreements, maintenance checks and aftersales support. New models we supply include the TA3SH, a 3 tonne swivel-tip dumper with hydrostatic drive, and the TA9. In 2025 Will Hire in Stourbridge bought two TA3SH dumpers and a TA1 from us.
Mecalac dumpers continue the Benford line that began in 1953, built in Coventry under the Terex badge until 2016 and as Mecalac since 2017. In 2025 Mecalac adapted its whole dumper range (TA, MDX and Revotruck, 15 models) to the EN 474 standard: hydrostatic transmission, side mirrors, an inclinometer, a front camera on all but the TA1, and extra side protection with ROPS on 6 and 9 tonne models. Mecalac also kept a cabless 9 tonne front-tip dumper, the TA9H.
