Mecalac site dumpers in the Midlands
SM Plant Sales has been a Mecalac dealer for site dumpers across the Midlands since November 2018, when Mecalac appointed us after taking over Terex's UK operation in Coventry. The appointment covers sales, service agreements, maintenance checks and aftersales support. What we offer
Service agreements
A service agreement puts routine servicing for your machines on a plan, which suits hire fleets and contractors running several dumpers. Tell us which machines you run and their hours, and we will talk it through with you.
Maintenance checks
A maintenance check looks over a machine for wear and faults before they stop work on site. It sits alongside the operator's own daily checks, which our site dumper daily checks guide sets out.
One-off repairs
If a machine has broken down or a fault has appeared, ask us about a one-off repair. Photos of the fault and of the serial plate help us identify the machine and the parts it is likely to need.
What to send when you book
The service request form asks for five things, so have them ready:
- Make, for example Mecalac, Terex or Benford.
- Model, for example a TA3SH or a TA9.
- Serial number, from the serial plate on the machine.
- Service hours, from the hour meter.
- Photos of the machine, the serial plate and any fault or damage.
The serial number matters because specifications changed over the years and between serial number ranges, so the same model name can take different parts.
