Look at the engine. The HT1000 Compact has its Honda petrol engine on show, the HT1000S diesel has its engine behind a black cover with a grille, and the smaller HT690 has “The Pup” on the engine guard. Where a part fits only one version, its name says HT1000 Petrol or HT1000 Diesel.

How do I find the right Slanetrac part?
Start with the part number, then tell us which machine you have. Slanetrac machines are not in our Parts by machine finder yet, so the part number is the quickest route.
- Find the part number. Use your parts list or any code on the old part. Most Slanetrac numbers start HT (HT013-G, HT6012, HT5009); many diesel engine parts start K00. Search the number in the site search.
- Check the machine. HT1000 petrol or diesel, or the HT690 Pup: it decides the engine parts, throttle cable, key and wiring. For diesel engine parts, the engine plate tells you the Kohler model.
- Measure where a size is listed. Pins are listed by length (282 mm and 330 mm), and the track by its size.

When should I replace Slanetrac tracks, rollers and sprockets?
Replace a rubber track when it is cracked through, has lost lugs or shows its internal steel, or when it keeps jumping off even at the right tension. The HT1000 track is listed as 180 x 72 x 40, the usual rubber track notation for width (mm), pitch (mm) and number of links.
- Sprockets: hooked or pointed teeth wear a new track quickly, so check them whenever you change a track.
- Rollers and idlers: a roller that is seized, flat-spotted or leaking puts extra load on the track. We list the rollers, a roller repair kit, the idler wheel and the idler assembly.
- Drive motors: oil around a drive motor usually means its seals need renewing; we list the drive motor seal kit and a track motor seal kit for the petrol HT1000.

Servicing a Slanetrac HT1000
For the diesel HT1000, the KDW702UK diesel service kit is the simplest way to order a service; the fuel filter, oil filter and air cleaner are also listed on their own. On both versions, change the HT048-G hydraulic filter and check the breather and hoses as the manual sets out, because a tracked dumper’s drive, tip and steering all run on hydraulics. You will find filters for other machines in our filters range.
